changed lives of students

Anatolie
I met Cru Moldova after attending a seminar about emotional intelligence. There I met Mihai and he shared with me the Gospel. Later I had meetings and discussions with him about God. He was who helped me to better know who God is, what He wants from me and how I can do His will. I became more confident in myself and in the future. In Him I have found the foundation upon which I need to build all of my life. My void has been filled. In addition to the business college, I also enrolled in the Theological Seminary. Next, I got baptised. My parents were shocked by all these changes. Right after my baptism, they disapproved my faith. The conflict was ugly. But I chose to stand firm with the Lord, even without the blessing of my parents. After 4 months of prayer, my parents began to read the Scriptures. They still don't understand much, but they see the blessing of God in my life and they accept me now. We have never had so much love and understanding in our relationship as we do now. Also, now I am disciplining a good friend of mine, Nicolae. I’m very happy that God is using me in the lives of people and I can multiply my faith.

I met CRU very unexpectedly and spontaneously. Then I did not think at all that my life changed so much upon arrival in Chisinau, thank Lord that I met Cretu family in the church. Before that, I prayed and asked God to give me what He wants to see me in. In Ukraine, I participated in a similar organization, only for teenagers. At that moment, God introduced me to Tanya and Mihai Cretu. It was very unexpected because Tania is from Ukraine too. With CRU staff, I felt like a family. I am very happy and immensely grateful to them for all the changes that have taken place in my life. I met wonderful people, became closer to God and began to understand more the values of the Christian life. I also see the importance of spreading the Gospel among students together with other volunteers from Moldova. I understand the importance of their work that they do on a daily basis and I am very grateful to the CRU for what they are doing in people's lives.

Even though I thought I knew everything, the Bible lessons helped me understand a lot more. I have learned to pray on my own, which helps me develop a personal relationship with God. I learned how to plan time with God every day; learned to talk about God with his family and friends. And it all happened because Mihai took the lead and taught me how to be a true disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks!

God has set me free from complexes. First of all, I don't blame my self any more for not speaking normally. I understood that God accepts me and loves me as I am. As a volunteer, I improved my communication skills and learned to be more open and friendly. I'm learning to courageously share the Gospel even if I'm afraid that people will reject me, even if I'm afraid I won't know how to answer difficult questions. My next goal is to become a good leader in helping my peers to discover the Lord.

As long as I can remember, I've been cared for by different people. I was never sure of my mother or father’s love. I have always had a deep sense of abandonment. My father was an alcoholic and left us right after I was born. My mother died of cancer when I was six. At the orphanage, I was rebellious: I lied, I stole, I argued with my teachers. I was trying to protect myself as best I could. I heard about Jesus from my foster parents. Their example of faith helped me trust God and taste His unconditional love. I am now a ware of my actions and I want to please God. My mentor helps me grow in my faith. A mentor who really cares for me. She became my friend and accompanies me through the difficult choices of my life.
